Steven, Aspin, and I tried to sneak in an afternoon nap, after church and before small group. Jessika had a friend over, and they let me sleep maybe 20 minutes, but I enjoyed some cuddling with sweaty Aspin anyway.

Day 83

Jessika is finally well enough, or convinced me that she isn't going to get sick again, and now she gets to visit Baby Audra.

Day 78

Jessika got sick at school, so Aspin and I took advantage of Mommy getting out of work, and going to see Baby Audra!  I held her for a few seconds before Aspin was comfortable enough to hold her, then she held her for 20 minutes. I finally took the baby from Aspin, so I could hold her, which made Aspin almost cry.  All week she talked about "My baby" and looked at her picture of her holding "My baby" she is very excited too.

Day 77

What a day, starting before 5 a.m. I received a text message from my long time Bestie and her husband, Misha and Jared, her water broke!  When they married about a year and a half ago, Misha became a mom to Jared's girls, and she has done a great job, and been a God send to their lives. But now the time has come, she is actually having a baby, I never thought this day would come, I was so excited and emotional!  It was so hard to see her in pain early during delivery, but I am so proud of her, and happy to finally hold her baby girl. We didn't actually get to hold her until the next day, but a few pictures I took of her in the nursery.

Day 75

Finally made it to work on Friday, still not feeling 100%, but I needed to get off the couch. After work Steven and I celebrated a birthday for one of our friends, Mrs. Rachel. But then by morning Jessika was vomiting again. Her little body took longer to recover, she was ordered to rest and I think we finally kicked it, knock on wood, by Wednesday of the following week.

Day 73

The flu hit our house, starting with Jessika, and then of course I got it as well. Luckily, Aspin had a flu shot and the pediatrician, gave her the meds to prevent her from coming down with it as well. It was one rough week though, but Aspin knows how to make me laugh, she came walking in with my shoes and sunglasses on looking all silly and cute at once.

Day 63

Today I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa of Crowder College, after working my butt off last semester and finishing with a 4.0 GPA I decided I should be recognized for my achievements.

Our baby turns 2 today! We had our first birthday party at our house, with a few(30) family members over. Of course my house was wrecked afterward, but it really wasn't that bad.

Busy weekend ahead, therefore busy week preparing. Aspin's current addiction is watching Mickey Mouse Club, because the only videos we can find are on Youtube.com, she watches on my phone often. Tonight I was too tired to stay up any longer so I left the phone with her, and this is what Daddy found.

Day 47

Oh what a week, Thursday, January 26 was Steven's 27th birthday, which we spent at the dentist. Steven got all his teeth pulled, so he could get dentures, it was quite the experience for the both of us. But here he is the day after looking pretty good. (Since then he has now gotten a different set of dentures that look different.)

Today we decided to go to Springfield, Missouri, about an hour drive, today t redeem some of our Christmas gift cards. On the drive up I got this cute video of Aspin singing and dancing to "Red Solo Cup" by Toby Keith.

Aspin was still sick today, so it was Mamas turn to stay home with her.

She decided she wanted to dance at some point during the day, so I let her play Just Dance 3 on the Wii.

Day 39

Oh what a week, I have been super busy at work, now Aspin is sick again, ear infection #3 in a year, doctor says if she gets another before March she will have to get tubes put in. Daddy stayed home with her and took her to see her pediatrician.

Day 33

Again I did not take a picture today, but we had a family night, as we watched the Series Finale for Extreme Make Over taking place in Joplin, Missouri; they built seven houses in seven days for families that lost their home in the May 22 Tornado.  This touched our hearts, as we cried and celebrated for these families, although we didn't loose our home in the tornado, it changed our lives.

Jessika reading me her homework, she sure is growing up, it seems like yesterday we were in the hospital after her birth now she is six and an half years old, reading me books.

Day 30

Again I failed to take a picture today, but I did have a great spontaneous dinner with one of my Besties tonight, it was much needed and greatly received!

Day 29

Another day I have failed, no picture taken.

Things I did accomplish today:

• 8 hours of work with real work, getting campus ready for the semester to start
• Ran, for the first time in about 3 weeks, it was rough
• Delivered the Diaper Wreath from my last post to my Sister
• Bought Milk
• Picked up the Girls and Pizza, (BBQ Chicken from Simple Simon's, which wasn't that good)
• Helped Jessika with her homework
• Vegged out in the recliner the rest of the night
• 
  

Day 28

After church, we rushed over to Steven's sister, Madison's house, to celebrate Aidan's 7th birthday. We stayed until late evening, the kids had a great time playing and of course they guys enjoyed football, and us girls had some good girl talk. I of course failed to take any photos of this wonderful event. But I did manage one photo when I got home, of a diaper cake I made for my sister to give as a gift to her friend. It's not my best work because I ran out of supplies, it was a spur of the moment idea.

Day 27

This evening we had some friends over, we enjoyed breakfast for dinner, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, sausage, fried eggs, and hash-browns. The guys watched a some football, while the kids and us moms played some Just Dance 3, fun times. The kids played and we all enjoyed the time we spent together.

Day 20

After we returned home from town yesterday I decided to move Jessika's bed into Aspin's room, and Aspin's toys into Jessika's room. Now we have a bedroom and a playroom. The main reason I wanted to do this is because Aspin always wants to sleep with Jessika and she seems to sleep through the night when she does. The first night seems to be a success, the girls slept till 10 a.m. and Aspin slept all night,
no 3 a.m. cries for more milk!

Day 19

The girls and I made a trip to town to clean the church, we weren't there 15 minutes and Aspin does a face plant off the jungle-gym, getting a carpet impression on her forehead, and rug burn by her nose and mouth.

Then we head to the mall to return a few of my gifts given to me from my thoughtful husband, and then to the shoe store to buy the girls boots. Below is Aspin with two different boots on.

Day 17 & 18

My Christmas break has reminded me why I am not a stay at home mom, I spent three days of mostly just Aspin and I at home, while Jessika was staying at a friends and Steven worked. I am going to blame Aspin's behavior on terrible two's even though we have a month before she actually turns two. My days have been spent trying to make her happy and not getting much else done. I did manage to take down the Christmas decorations and a few loads of laundry, but that was it. The only picture I took on Wednesday and Thursday is the one below, she finally crawled up onto my lap and went to sleep, I don't even remember what day this was, but I was thrilled, for one she never lets me rock her to sleep, and for two it wasn't a fight that ended with her throwing a fit and crying herself to sleep!

Day 16

So I have been off work for Christmas break for 4 days now, and it's been sick the first day then, Christmas for three days, and now relaxation..NOT! Aspin has an appointment for the other half of her flu shot, then I am dropping Jessika at a friends to stay the night, so afternoon shopping sounds fun...

Day 15

Today we traveled to Eagle Rock, MO to have Christmas with the Hillyer side of the family. There we participate in white elephant gift exchange and it's a good time had by all. I came home with a Spice Rack with free refills for 5 years, and Steven came home with a gift set of his favorite body wash.

Once we returned home in the evening the girls got to finally play with a few of there toys, here is Aspin in her new baby bed she got from Gramma Judy.

Christmas morning at our house means setting the alarm for 7 a.m. waking up the girls so we can hurry and open gifts then get dressed, and run off to celebrate Christmas at several other places.

Steven and I decided to make Jessika a coupon book, it is good for things like ice cream trips with us, special one-on-one time, game nights, and fishing trips.

Day 13

Today I feel much better then I did yesterday, so I woke up and started cleaning and cooking, my family will be coming over to enjoy great time, great food and presents.  It was a great time had by all I believe, unfortunately I was still not on top of my game so I only managed to take only one picture,
of my two favorite gifts that I received.

I asked for both of these two items, of course we broke out the game and my wonderful Husband got a good video of my Dad and Steven, my sister Jennifer's boyfriend, dancing to California Girls by Katy Perry.  I also took the my new 22 pistol outside and shot off a few rounds too.

Day 12

One day till Christmas, and I have so much to do, but instead I am sick, and so are the girls. I managed to make it to the church to clean for a short period, then head to pick up the girls and take them to see their pediatrician, who diagnosed them with strep throat, so back on antibiotics we head home to rest, and that we did. We rested most of the evening, unfortunately missing the Christmas Experience at IgniteChurch.tv, and the blessing of delivering gifts for Christmas of Hope. 

Aspin is into hand holding lately and while cuddling on the couch she really likes to love on Mamma.
