Day 10

Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - I have failed, I didn't take any pictures yesterday, tons of excuses on why I didn't but I think I will just leave it as I failed. Hope to make up for it today.
Things I did accomplish today:
  • Uploaded videos from my phone to my YouTube channel.
  • Made meatballs for our church get together, while at work.
  • Worked 8+ hours
  • And many other meaningless things.

Day 8

Steven and I enjoyed a great date night in last night, it was nice to enjoy a little us time after the kids went to bed, in the craziness of the season. We watched "The Change-Up" which we rented from Redbox, we were a little aggravated that we weren't able to watch the Unrated version and the audio kept slowing down, so we would have to pause or rewind the movie, but overall it was a funny movie and we enjoyed our cuddle time on the couch. (Although the picture looks awful.)

Days 5, 6, & 7

What a last few days, Friday ended this semester for our daughter Jessika and for my classes, also with it being one week before Christmas is just a busy time for everyone, I did some Christmas shopping with my Mom on Saturday, then got a majority of the family together for a birthday party for my nephew in the evening, and Sunday of course church and kicked off my week of cleaning, at home.

Day 4

My girls, Jessika is 6, and Aspin is 22 months, in other words she will be 2 in February. The two of them have been battling illness lately, last week Jessika had strep throat and Pink eye, now Aspin has Pink eye.  These girls are crazy, they are so in love with each other, and us as parents, we are a very close family. Our girls are similar in many ways and then again so different in other ways, but they are most definitely our children. Thursday, December 15, 2011.

Day 3

Last year only part of the lights worked on our pre-lit Christmas tree, so I decided that would be the last time we used it, then this year came around and my Hubby still wasn't going to let me have a real tree, so I decided we would be simple, I wanted a tomato cage wrapped in lights as seen here. But my Hubby had a different idea...
...so he built me this beautiful tree of lights with a dowel rod, fishing line, and some plastic tubing, oh and lots of lights, FIVE strands of lights! We used our tree stand from our old tree and the dowel rod fit perfectly, then we added a few red ornaments and a strand of silver beads, then a few candy canes around the bottom, no tree topper but who needs that anyway? It is much more beautiful then the tomato cage tree would of been too!

Day 2

Today was a extremely crazy day, it felt like a whole week rolled into one day, therefore I wasn't very successful in taking a photo, I did take one, but it is kind of silly. (See below) Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
I work in the Information Technology Department at Crowder College as the Helpdesk Assistant. I have been in my position for over four years, although I have no computer background, I have learned a lot during my time here.  Since this Summer I have started working on computers in addition to my other duties. The picture above is of a Smart Console, I think, I attempted to work on this item yesterday, and when I got to its location I had NO idea what I was looking at, so I took this picture to take back to the office to ask questions of someone who would know what to do.  It turned out that I was unable to fix anything because we were waiting on parts to come in, so another piece of my day that just didn't work out. Oh well, that day is over and now it's Wednesday!

Day 1

So I decided to try and complete a picture a day for a year project, and here I am already starting off late. I took a couple pictures but couldn't figure out how I was going to publish them, so I jumped on the bandwagon and started a blog. So here is the picture for Monday, December 12, 2011.
I came to work this wonderful Monday morning, also the first day of finals, to find this beautiful Norfolk Island Pine, on my desk, for my birthday that was yesterday. Although the card wasn't signed, and nobody will confess to who bought it for me, it is a very nice gesture and another reason I love my co-workers.
